The Tasty Tart is located close to the villages of Clogher Head, Annagassan, Termonfeckin and Baltray. This stretch of the Louth coast line is a beautiful area only 45mins from Dublin. It is easilyaccessible by the M1 motorway yet feels a world away from the city. Cookery lessons focus on theuse of local produce of which there is an abundance. From the fishing port of Clogher Head, thereare fantastic prawns as well as an array of other fish such as John Dory, sole, flounder, mackerel(well the list goes on..). With a farm shop selling much of its own home-grown produce, as well asthat of other producers in the area, Termonfeckin has plenty to choose from in terms of vegetableproduce. With duck eggs, free range turkeys, geese, duck , and honey all readily available from thevillage, it is a delight to host cookery lessons and cookery demonstrations here.
Cookery lessons and cookery demonstrations are held in the Tasty Tart’s own home creating awarm and welcoming environment in which to learn. There are hands on cookery lessons availableas well as shorter, evening cookery demonstrations. All classes are relaxed and informal but withan emphasis on learning new skills and techniques to inspire you in your own kitchen. With lots ofdifferent themes such as Elegant Entertaining, Man. Makes. Meal. and Fishy Fishy, you are sure tofind a cookery lesson to suit you! On arrival, you will be greeted with a glass of wine (in the evening)or a freshly brewed coffee and something to nibble on while you settle in and have a look over theday’s recipes. You will then watch the cookery demonstration and taste the dishes that have beenprepared. For hands on cookery lessons, you will of course, make the dishes yourself with someguidance. You will finish the class with lunch or dinner and some relaxation time.
